This is Zuqing Zhu. I am a Full Professor in the School of Information Science and Technology, University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). Since Jan. 2011, I have been leading the Intelligent Networking system & Future InterNet InfrasTructurE (INFINITE) Lab in USTC. I am a Senior Member of IEEE and a Senior Member of OSA. I am currently the Secretary (an elected officer) of the Technical Committee on Optical Networking (ONTC) of the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc). I am a Series Editor of the Optical Communications Series (OCS) in IEEE Communications Magazine, and also on the editorial boards of IEEE Transactions on Network and Service Management, Optical Switching and Networking (Elsevier), Photonic Network Communications Journal (Springer), Telecommunication Systems Journal (Springer), etc. I am a Steering Committee Member of the IEEE International Conference on High Performance Switching and Routing (HPSR), and an IEEE ComSoc Distinguished Lecturer (2018-2019). I have published more than 200 papers in referred journals and conferences of IEEE and OSA. My h-index is 34 (from Google Scholar, 12/2017), my Google Scholar Profile is here, and my ResearchGate Profile is here.
From Jul. 2007 to Jan. 2011, I was a Senior Software Engineer in the Service Provider Technology Group of Cisco Systems. I was working on research and development of wideband access routers for hybrid fiber-coaxial (HFC) cable networks and passive optical networks (PON). I have participated in the standardlization of DOCSIS 3.0 (Data over Cable Service Interface Specification). In July 2007, I got my Ph.D. degree in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Davis, under the supervision of Prof. S. J. Ben Yoo (IEEE Fellow, OSA Fellow). My Ph.D. research topic was "Highly scalable optical-label switching network systems incorporating label swapping and optical regeneration". I received the M.S. degree from the same department in Sept. 2003, and the B.S. degree from the Department of Electronic Engineering and Information Science of the University of Science & Technology of China (in Hefei, China) in July, 2001.
My hobbies are soccer, swimming, photography, hiking, and reading. Thanks for visiting my homepage!
